Call For Tutorial Proposals

CALL FOR TUTORIAL PROPOSALS

The 18th IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2022)
will take place on 25-29 April 2022 in Budapest Hungary. Held in even-numbered
years since 1988, NOMS 2020 follows the tradition of NOMS and IM as the IEEE
Communications Society's primary technical exchange forum for the research,
standards, development, systems integrator, service provider, and user
communities. It features the latest approaches and technical solutions in the
area of network operations and management.

Tutorials are an integral part of the program of IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2022. They
provide participants with broad and comprehensive overviews of emerging
topics in the management of communication networks, services, and associated
technology. Experts are invited to submit full-day half-day
(3 hours) tutorial proposals.

SUGGESTED TOPICS

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- SDN/NFV Development and Management Frameworks
- Network and Data Plane Programming
- 5G (and Beyond) Management
- Security Management Approaches and Platforms
- Open Source Solutions for Network and Service Management
- Monitoring, Measurement, Service Assurance
- Simulation Frameworks
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Networks
- Blockchain Technologies for Network and Service Management
- Intent-Based Management

IMPORTANT DATES

Tutorial Proposal Submission Deadline: 19 November 2021
Notification of Acceptance: 17 December 2021
Camera-Ready: 13 March 2022
Presentation: 25 or 29 April 2022

the Tutorial Proposal Form and send a PDF version of this form to the
Tutorial Program Co-Chairs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Once accepted, a tutorial will be held provided that there is a minimum
audience of 10 (full-day) and 5 (half-day) registrants for the tutorial. A
stipend may be offered for tutorial presenters, with details yet to be
announced.  As is customary for most conferences, travel expenses are
expected to be covered by the tutorial speakers themselves.
